This is a several-page article detailing my sculpture-making process. I start by creating hand-carved wood sculptures from roots and found wood, creating fantasy creatures by adding and subtracting many pieces to develop the finished piece. I then use a high-tech technique to scan the sculpture into the computer and, using the rapid prototype technology, create reproductions directly from the computer. This article includes many images as well as descriptions of the process. The magazine is widely available in bookstores and newsstands.
